HAMPSTEAD YOUTH FOOTBALL CLUB was established in 1998 and is led by a committee of volunteers with a keen interest in youth football. Taking part in leagues around the Central and North London areas we have over 500 members taking part in grassroots football on a weekly basis.

We operate a strong girls and boys teams programme, competing in several leagues of varying skill level. This allows us to offer a range of options for players - from those trying football for the first time to those who are looking to take part in high-level competitive youth football. To ensure a strong foundation of skills development and knowledge of the game we run a girls and boys Academy. This allows players to take part in football in a fun and non-competitive environment. If a player then wants to progress into a team those opportunities also exist.

All of our coaches are volunteers and we appreciate their hard work and dedication to our players' progression. We also benefit from the skills of supportive parents who assist with administration, events planning, website design and fundraising. If you are interested in taking a more central role within the club, please visit our volunteering or coaching webpages.

Hampstead FC was awarded Beacon Club Status in 2010 by the London Borough of Camden as a mark of the excellent work we do with young athletes in the area. We were also the grateful recipients of funding from the London Mayor's FreeSport initiative which allowed us to deliver football to young girls in schools who had not had an opportunity to play otherwise. For the 2011 - 2012 season we have been granted a Football Foundation 'Grow the Game' grant. All of this is due to the great support of our volunteers, parents and of course, the players.

In May 2010 Hampstead FC and Kentish Town FC successfully bid for the Playing Fields at Chase Lodge and formed the charity - The Camden Community Football and Sports Association (CCFSA) - to ensure their development and preservation. This was done with support from the Marathon Playing Fields and further financial contributions from Arsenal FC.
