Jack Petchey Award winners 08/09
Milton Karamani
Joined the club with the under 10’s and has missed virtually no games since his first appearance. He plays in any position he is asked to, he is thoroughly polite, loyal and well deserving of the award. Probably the longest serving player in the club.
Calvin Drew
Has become an absolute star for his team – not only on the pitch but in all respects. He works hard for the team scoring goals in games and also turns up early to the training sessions to volunteer to help the coach to set up exercises. He is constantly asking what he can do to help.
Kirsty Graham
Has been a consistent member of the team since its inception and has played in every game and attended almost all training sessions. She has shown outstanding dedication and has improved greatly as a player. She is a popular member of the team.
Peparin Nirmani
Has emerged as an essential part of the team. Has recently been made captain and he has grown as a player and a person to taking his responsibilities seriously. He has been instrumental in bringing the team together and welcoming several new players to the squad. A fair and honest player.
Meghan Kennedy
A strong member of the team who communicates exceptionally well with all her team mates. She has worked hard in a defensive role in the team and has provided great support for her team both on and off the field.
George Fitzsimmons
Reason for award: George was a late starter to the game but has come on in leaps and bounds. He was recently promoted from the B team to the A team and has taken the step up in his stride. He has commanded the respect of all his peers and should be thoroughly proud of his achievements.
Mim Sandler Chadwick
A stalwart of the club. Has improved fantastically as a player and always attends training and games. Quiet, confident and always willing to offer support to other players and younger members of the club.
Eleanor Richards
A great player with a fantastic smile. A great ability not to panic when the last man....girl. A pleasure to have at training and at the club.
Rowan Ritchie
A boy whose football has come on leaps and bounds over the season. He always attends training and is immaculate in his appearance.
Louise Hayes
Louise has been with the club for some time and is a true footballer and sportswoman. She is extremely committed to sport and fitness and works in her spare time supporting coaches and younger players. She is truly a committed young lady and we wish her all the best in her future.
Maddie Payne
Maddie has improved dramatically as a player over the year. Towards the end of the season Maddie found her correct place on the pitch. Always gives her all and is not phased by players twice her size. Always a pleasure to have around.
Taj Figueroa
Taj is a pleasure to have around. He has made great strides this season. He is always very positive and has a wonderful attitude.
Well done to all the Award winners. It is a fantastic achievement. We are proud of you all.
